SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Inquiry (BCI) is currently investigating a death in Sugarcreek Township possibly linked to a domestic violence incident. The investigation began late Friday night and continued into Saturday, prompting a meaningful law enforcement presence in the area of Sugar Point New Homes off Center Point Drive.
Neighbors reported hearing a disturbance around 2 a.m. Friday,with one resident describing loud banging noises. Authorities removed a body from a home on Honey Tree Place around 4 a.m. Saturday. While details remain scarce, the incident has shaken residents and prompted questions about the circumstances surrounding the death.
The Ohio BCI was requested by local police departments to assist with crime scene processing. However, officials have stated that no further data is available at this time due to the ongoing nature of both investigations.
