Omoda to Launch C4 Compact SUV in South Africa in Late 2026
Johannesburg – Omoda will bolster its South African lineup with the introduction of the new C4 compact crossover in the second half of 2026. the C4,previously known as the C3,will join the Omoda C5 and C9 models in the brand’s local portfolio.
Unveiled globally in October, the C4 showcases Omoda’s “Cyber Mecha” design language, described by the company as a “bold fusion of futuristic aesthetics and mechanical precision.”
While detailed specifications are still forthcoming, Omoda confirmed South African models will be available with both internal combustion engine and hybrid powertrain options, allowing customers a phased transition to electric vehicles.
Pricing has not yet been revealed, but the C4 is anticipated to be more affordable than the C5, which currently ranges from R329,900 to R465,900. Omoda expects to offer a comparable level of standard features, including a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, intelligent voice control, wireless charging, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and a Sony audio system.
