audi’s myAudi App Receives Major Update with Integrated ChatGPT AI
Audi has significantly updated its myAudi app, aiming to create a unified ecosystem connecting drivers, vehicles, and the internet. The manufacturer highlights the integration of artificial intelligence as a key innovation, implementing the ChatGPT system directly into the vehicle’s operating surroundings.
This integration allows drivers to ask questions of their car - for example, ”Why is this light on?” – and receive answers directly from the vehicle’s database, effectively turning the car into a digital assistant capable of explaining vehicle functions and potentially driving technique.
The update also introduces enhanced functionality with the digital key, allowing drivers to unlock, lock, and start their vehicles using a smartphone or watch, potentially eliminating the need for a physical key altogether.
For electric vehicle owners, the myAudi app offers expanded features focused on charging and energy management. Drivers can now monitor remaining driving distance, charging status, Plug & Charge payment data, and charging schedules. The app facilitates cost savings by enabling scheduled charging during off-peak electricity hours and features an advanced route planner that automatically identifies charging stations for longer journeys,sending the plan directly to the car’s navigation system. A battery preparation function is also included, pre-conditioning the battery to optimal charging temperatures, reducing charging times in fluctuating weather conditions.
Furthermore, the “myAudi” app now serves as a gateway to Audi’s digital marketplace, offering personalized deals on accessories, software updates, and subscription functions.
The updated myAudi app is currently available in over fifty markets across Europe and the Pacific region, with plans for expansion to include Brazil, saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman in the near future.
