“No Kings” Protests Draw Thousands Across Southern Nevada, One Arrest Reported
Las Vegas, NV – thousands of demonstrators took to the streets across Southern Nevada on Saturday for nationwide “No Kings” protests, voicing opposition to President Donald Trump and his management.The rallies, organized by groups critical of the President, represent a continuing wave of demonstrations asserting concerns about threats to democratic principles. countering these protests, some Republican leaders have labeled the events as “Hate America” rallies.
The protests unfolded at multiple locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley and beyond, including Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas, Coronado Center Drive and South Eastern Avenue in Henderson, and outside the New York-new York Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. additional demonstrations were planned for Pahrump and Mesquite, according to organizers’ website.
The largest gathering in Southern Nevada occurred in downtown Las Vegas, across from the Lloyd D. George U.S. Courthouse, where the Metropolitan Police Department (Metro) estimated approximately 8,000 people participated. A separate Metro post on X (formerly twitter) reported one arrest for disorderly conduct at this location.
The protest outside New York-New York drew an estimated 700 attendees, with no arrests made, according to a Saturday night Metro post on X.
Nationwide,organizers reported over 2,600 rallies took place on Saturday,building on the momentum of the first “No Kings” day on June 14,which saw 2,100 rallies across the country.
Demonstrators carried signs with slogans like “democracy has no kings,” reflecting the core message of the protests.
