Jakarta – Social media personality Tasyi Athasyia is drawing attention after a video surfaced showing her luxury Hermes birkin bag catching fire during a family celebration. The incident occurred while attending a birthday dinner for her father-in-law, Halilintar Anofial Asmid, alongside the Gen Halilintar family.
Tasyi was wearing a white ensemble, including a white robe and a floral hijab, and carrying the white Birkin bag-valued at approximately IDR 368 million (roughly $24,000 USD)-when it was accidentally placed near a lit candle. Fateh Halilintar alerted her to the flames, which damaged a portion of the bag’s bottom edge.
Despite the meaningful financial loss, Tasyi maintained a lighthearted demeanor, joking and laughing with family members as she recounted the incident. ”Honestly, this is a mixture of sadness and laughter, it’s really strange,” she wrote in the video caption.
