Renowned Czech actor Bolek Polívka experienced a sudden health issue during a performance at the Brno Theater on Friday,October 10,2025,and was transported by ambulance to receive medical care. Polívka is currently under the care of doctors and, according to updates shared on the theater’s Facebook page, is feeling well.
The incident occurred after the first part of the performance, prompting a rapid response from emergency services. A video posted to Facebook by Brnenská Jednička shows paramedics assisting Polívka to a waiting ambulance. This event has prompted well wishes from fans and colleagues, with the Brno Theater team expressing hopes for his swift recovery.
Polívka has a long and celebrated career in Czech theater and film. He was instrumental in the founding of the Theater on Strings in 1972, bringing a unique style inspired by pantomime, clowning, and film grotesques. He later established the Bolek Polívka Theater in 1993.
