Panattoni is investing three billion Czech crowns in a new industrial hall within the Joseph Industrial Zone near Most, Czech Republic. Construction is underway, filling one of the last available spaces in the zone’s first stage of development. The project aims to create new job opportunities in the Most region, which currently experiences one of the highest unemployment rates in the country.
The Joseph Industrial Zone, established in 2002 and spanning 190 hectares, is owned by the city of Most. This new hall represents a significant economic boost for the area, where August unemployment stood at 9.5 percent with 6,632 job seekers registered with the local Labor Office. Mayor Marek Hrvol anticipates the hall will alleviate this issue. Panattoni, which has previously developed industrial spaces in the karlovy Vary and Ústí nad Labem regions hosting tenants like Amazon, Tchibo, and Jungheinrich, is prioritizing sustainability in the new build.
The hall will incorporate environmentally friendly features, including solar panels on the roof and open areas, a rainwater harvesting system, and a dedicated fire water system. The Joseph Zone already hosts investors such as Yankee Candle and AFSI Europe. The new development is strategically located near the Triangle Region industrial zone.
