A shooting on Dairy Ashford Road in Sugar Land ​has ‌resulted in one fatality and ​is​ connected to a series of ⁢killings in Houston, according to police. The incident prompted a shutdown of Dairy Ashford while investigators processed the scene and gathered evidence.

Houston Police ⁤Department (HPD) ⁢Lieutenant Larry Crowson confirmed the shootings are linked, revealing a suspect connected to ​the Sugar Land death was later found deceased in Houston with ‌a self-inflicted gunshot ⁢wound. The unfolding events have left communities ​shaken⁢ and raised questions about a possible motive, ‌which remains ‍unknown ‍at this⁢ time.

The initial shooting occurred⁢ at​ a mechanic shop ⁢on Fondren Road near West Orem Drive.The suspect fatally shot a mechanic at the location, then shot and killed ​a bystander who began recording the scene, Crowson stated.

Following the Fondren Road shootings, HPD responded to a separate ⁤shooting in the ​8000 block ​of Creekbend Drive near‍ South Gessner road. ‌Officers discovered the suspect dead‍ inside a vehicle,suffering from an apparent self-inflicted‌ gunshot ‍wound.

Authorities have not yet ⁢released the identities of those involved. According to Lt. Crowson, the‍ Sugar Land victim was a⁤ woman, while the three ‌individuals who died‍ in Houston⁤ were men.⁣
