ISTANBUL - The draw for the 2026 CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship has been completed, placing the Turkish national women’s volleyball team, known as the ”Sultans of the Net,” in Group A. They will face Latvia, Poland, Germany, Slovenia, and Hungary in the group stage.
Türkiye will host the championship for a third time,having previously hosted in 2003 and 2019. As the host nation and reigning champion,the Turkish team will aim to defend their title in the tournament. the 2026 CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship will feature the group stage, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final - all to be held at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall.
The draw ceremony was attended by Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ, TVF Secretary General Av.Nihal Workers, and National Women’s Volleyball Team athlete Dilay Özdemir.
