emmering – A large fire engulfed a stable building on an agricultural estate in Garsbichl in the late night hours of October 3, prompting a massive response from fire departments. Approximately 250 firefighters from the districts of Ebersberg and Rosenheim, along with support from the THW Markt Schwaben, battled the blaze.
The stable, used as a warehouse and not for animal housing, was fully involved when crews arrived around 11:30 p.m. Firefighters focused on protecting the adjacent farmhouse from heat and flames, successfully preventing the fire from spreading.
No injuries were reported. Initial estimates place property damage at over half a million euros. The Erding criminal police are investigating the cause of the fire.
