NMI Researcher Dr. Xin Xiong Appointed to Reutlingen University Faculty
Reutlingen,Germany – Dr. Xin Xiong,a scientist at the Natural and Medical sciences Institute at the University of Tübingen (NMI),has accepted a teaching position at Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences. Dr. Xiong will continue her research at the NMI while sharing her expertise with students at the university.
The appointment bridges academic and applied science, bringing NMI’s interdisciplinary research in organic and material sciences – spanning healthcare, vehicle construction, and machine/tool building – to the next generation of engineers and scientists. The NMI, supported by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg, actively fosters the translation of its research into practical applications for regional and international companies. Dr. Xiong’s dual role exemplifies this commitment, strengthening ties between research and education.
