North Las Vegas,NV – A fatal⁤ traffic⁤ collision occurred Friday evening​ at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard North and‍ Pecos Road,prompting an investigation by the North Las Vegas Police Department (NLVPD).

At approximately 7:49 p.m., ‍NLVPD officers responded to the 2800 block of Pecos ​Road following reports of a collision involving ⁣a Honda SUV and a motorcycle. upon arrival, first responders‌ discovered a 23-year-old male motorcyclist suffering‍ from critical injuries.

Despite⁢ immediate medical attention, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.‍ The Clark County Coroner’s Office will be responsible ​for officially identifying the victim and determining the official cause and manner of death.

The NLVPD’s Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) has assumed control of⁤ the investigation. Preliminary investigations indicate the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Pecos Road ⁤at a considerable speed when the collision occurred. the Honda SUV was in ⁢the process of making a left turn⁣ into a business parking lot from northbound Pecos Road when it was struck by the motorcycle on ​its⁣ passenger side.

Authorities have confirmed⁢ that the driver of the Honda⁢ SUV remained at ⁢the scene ⁣and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. ⁢
