14-Year-Old Injured in E-Scooter Collision in hamburg’s Bergedorf District
Bergedorf, Hamburg – A 14-year-old girl sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car while riding an e-scooter in the Bergedorf district of Hamburg on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred around 6:35 p.m. on the upper Landweg.
according to police reports, the girl allegedly ran a red traffic light, leading to a collision with an Opel vehicle. The driver of the Opel was unable to stop in time to avoid impact.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene.The teenager suffered significant injuries to her head and back and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. An emergency doctor was initially requested but later stood down.
Traffic flow was initially managed with alternating one-way passage while authorities investigated the accident.The road was fully reopened to traffic at approximately 7:43 p.m.The police traffic accident team has taken over the investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
