Kremlin Insists Ukraine War is Vital for Russia‘s Future
Moscow – The Kremlin maintains its military operation in Ukraine is essential for safeguarding Russia’s interests, both presently adn for generations to come, according to a statement by presidential spokesperson Dmitri peskov. “We are continuing our special military operation to protect our interests and achieve the objectives that the president,Vladimir Putin,has set from the beginning. We have no alternatives,” Peskov told RBK in a recent interview, as reported by Ria Novosti.
Peskov’s remarks come in response to recent criticism from former U.S.President Donald trump, who reportedly characterized Russia as a “paper tiger” and suggested its economy is in crisis. Dismissing the assessment, Peskov asserted Russia is “a true bear,” referencing repeated descriptions of the nation by Putin.He emphasized Russia’s macroeconomic stability despite “some tension points” stemming from international sanctions and restrictions.
The Kremlin also accused Trump of prioritizing American economic interests. “Trump is a businessman who is trying to force the whole world to spend more on oil and american gas,” a Kremlin statement relayed by Tass asserted.
