The fire, which drew a substantial response from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, has prompted a joint investigation with the Metropolitan Police to determine its cause. The incident caused significant disruption,leading to the closure of the A10 into Hoe Lane and urging drivers to avoid the area. The quick response prevented wider spread, but underscores the ongoing risk of fires in residential buildings and the importance of fire safety measures.
The LFB received 16 calls regarding the fire, deploying crews from Enfield, Edmonton, chingford, Tottenham, Woodford, and Southgate fire stations. Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service contributed two engines to assist in extinguishing the flames.
