TORONTO – Friends of Jessica Mulroney are warning that the socialite and stylist is preparing to reveal damaging details about her former friendship with Meghan Markle in a forthcoming memoir, according to reports.Sources claim Mulroney ”knows where the bodies are buried” and possesses information that could be highly damaging to the Duchess of Sussex.
The potential tell-all comes amid a period of personal upheaval for Mulroney, 45, who is reportedly separated from her husband, Ben Mulroney, 49, after 16 years of marriage. The couple share three children: twins Brian and John, 14, and daughter Ivy, 12. Mulroney has been seen without her wedding ring and reportedly informed friends of the split while attending a wedding without her husband. A source told PageSix, “They’re split. Jessica seemed sad, but also relieved to have some clarity.”
Mulroney’s relationship with Markle appears to have cooled significantly in recent years. The pair were once close, with Mulroney notably present at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018, posing alongside Kate Middleton on the steps of st George’s Chapel. She was also on FaceTime with Markle when Prince Harry proposed.
The friendship reportedly fractured following a public dispute in 2020 when Mulroney was accused of using her privilege to threaten the life of Black influencer Sasha Exeter. Markle reportedly distanced herself from Mulroney following the controversy.
Ben mulroney is the eldest son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and a long-time television presenter,currently working with Canadian network CTV,having previously hosted Canadian Idol from 2003 to 2008 and Your Morning. The couple met when Jessica was 17 and Ben was 14, and began dating years later after Ben visited Montreal during a break from Canadian Idol. they married in 2008 at st.patrick’s Basilica in Montreal and honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas,Mexico. In November 2023, they acknowledged forgetting their anniversary.A friend stated in July 2024 that the couple had been estranged “for some time.”
