Nuremberg, Germany - The Haie (Sharks) claimed a crucial 4-2 victory over the Nuremberg ice Tigers on Saturday, securing their first 6-point weekend of the new season after a Friday win.The result marks a notable early boost for the team in the league standings.
The game saw a back-and-forth first period, with Evan Fitzpatrick – the Ice tigers’ goalie - initially negating a Haie goal before Gregor MacLeod equalized at 2-2 in the 23rd minute. This goal proved pivotal, shifting momentum in favor of the Haie. Despite numerous opportunities created by Kammerer, Macleod, and Russell, Fitzpatrick continued to frustrate the Haie offense.
