Xiaomi 15 Ultra Aims to Disrupt Mobile Photography ‍with Leica Partnership

Mexico‍ City – Xiaomi’s latest flagship, the 15 Ultra, is making waves‍ with it’s advanced camera system co-engineered with Leica, challenging the dominance of conventional DSLR cameras in the mobile photography space. Released this week, the device boasts impressive video recording capabilities and a high-resolution front-facing ‍camera, alongside a powerful processor and extended ⁣battery life, positioning itself as a top ⁣contender in the premium smartphone market.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra isn’t just another smartphone upgrade; it’s⁣ a deliberate ⁤attempt to redefine mobile imaging.⁤ Reviewer Rafael García awards the device a qualification of 9, praising its performance and ⁢photographic capabilities,⁣ noting‌ it⁢ “tries to fight” for a ⁣top spot⁤ despite not currently ⁤ranking among the leaders in Dxomark’s assessments. The phone features a rear camera system developed in collaboration with Leica, and offers video recording in resolutions ranging ‍from ⁣720p at⁤ 30 frames per second to ‌8K ⁢at 30 frames per second.

the device’s video capabilities extend to 1080p at 60 ‌frames per second and 4K at⁢ 120 ⁣frames per second. A dedicated “Movie” mode allows users to adjust image brightness and apply filters for creative effects. ⁤

Selfies are addressed with a 32MP front-facing camera (OV32B) featuring an f/2.0 aperture, a 21mm equivalent‌ focal length, and a 90° field of vision, designed ‌for group shots and social media content.

Beyond the camera, ⁣the Xiaomi 15 ⁣Ultra offers a high-performance experiance. García, a veteran of the video game industry with over 25 years of experience⁢ and contributions ⁢to media outlets like Televisa and Milenio, highlights the phone’s robust performance, excellent screen quality, and outstanding battery life.
