Haie End Losing Streak with 4-1 Victory Over Schwenningen Wild Wings
Schwenningen, Germany – the Haie celebrated their first win of the season with a decisive 4-1 victory against the Schwenningen Wild Wings on Friday night at a sold-out Schwenninger Arena. The win breaks a five-game losing streak for the Haie and marks a strong debut for newcomer Dominik Uher.
The Haie responded quickly after falling behind early,with Gregor Macleod scoring just seven minutes into the game to equalize at 1-1. Patrick Russell then gave the Haie the lead in the 15th minute, converting a pass for a 2-1 advantage. Dominik Uher and Juhani Tyrväinen extended the lead in the second period, scoring at the 32nd and 38th minutes respectively, establishing a 4-1 lead that the Haie would maintain through the final period.
The Wild Wings pressed for a comeback in the third period, earning several power play opportunities, but Haie goaltender Felix Brückmann delivered a strong performance, securing the win with key saves.

Dominik Uher scored his first goal in his first competitive game for the Haie. Nate Schnarr and Valtteri Kemiläinen also registered points for the Haie. Felix Brückmann excelled in his KEC debut,successfully defending against Schwenningen’s offensive pushes. The Haie capitalized on one of three power play opportunities while remaining penalty-free.
“We wanted to show a reaction to the past weekend and we did this. As a team, we played heavily. For me personally,it is indeed of course nice to meet in the first game. Now our focus is on Nuremberg on Sunday,” said Dominik Uher after the game.
The Haie will continue their road trip on Sunday, facing the Nuremberg Ice Tigers at 2:00 p.m.
