Primary General president Porter Strengthens Connections, Delivers Aid During Africa South Area Visit
MASERU, LESOTHO – Primary General President Susan H. porter recently concluded a ministering visit to the Africa South Area, strengthening relationships with faith leaders and children while overseeing a donation of 300 pairs of shoes to schools in Lesotho. The visit, spanning September 2-5, 2025, underscored the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ commitment to supporting education and fostering interfaith understanding across the continent.
President Porter’s travels took her to both Reunion and Lesotho, where she met with key religious and community figures and spent time with Latter-day Saint children. This trip builds upon ongoing church efforts to partner with local organizations and leaders to address critical needs and promote spiritual growth within the Africa south Area, which encompasses several nations facing unique challenges in education and economic development.
