CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – American Airlines is extending its nonstop service from Charlotte Douglas International Airport too Vail, Colorado, offering skiers and travelers extended access to the popular mountain destination.
Originally scheduled for a limited run from December 18, 2025, to January 5, 2026, the seasonal route will now return on February 12, 2026, and operate daily through April 6, 2026. This extension provides a longer window for travelers to reach Vail during peak ski season and beyond. The added service builds on American Airlines’ growing commitment to connecting Charlotte travelers with premier ski destinations.
“World-class slopes, alpine village vibes, and après-ski done right – all just one flight away,” an airport spokesperson said.
The Vail extension follows the announcement in March of a separate nonstop route from Charlotte to Aspen, Colorado, also beginning December 18. That service will operate on Fridays, saturdays, and Sundays through March.
Travelers can book flights to both Vail and Aspen by visiting the American Airlines website at aa.com.
