German Baker Wins Excellence Medal at Euroskills 2025

German ⁤baker Receives Excellence Recognition at Euroskills 2025

Herning, Denmark – While ​a top-three finish eluded him, German baker Niklas​ Ring returned from the‍ Euroskills 2025 competition in Herning, Denmark, with a prestigious excellence medal, marking a critically important achievement for the young pastry professional.

The Euroskills 2025, ‍the European Championships⁣ for young professionals, ‍saw ⁣32 German specialists ⁣compete across 28 different disciplines over three days of intense competition. ring,22,proudly represented the German bakery trade,ultimately securing ⁣fourth ⁤place with an​ impressive score of 719 points.

The competition was fierce.⁢ The Netherlands took home the gold medal with 737 points, ​followed by France in second place (724 points). Denmark narrowly missed out on bronze, finishing with 723 points – just ⁤one ⁤point behind France.

“Huge Joy” and a Focus on Skill Development

Hailing from Kaifenhaim in Rhineland-Palatinate, Ring dedicated months to rigorous ⁤training ‌alongside ⁤his coach, Felix Rommel, and the bakery team at the ​Federal Academy of the German Bakery in Weinheim. The Central Association highlighted Ring’s exceptional skill⁢ in crafting delicate biscuits as a key strength.

“It’s incredibly fun to explore and create a wide variety of shapes and designs,” Ring‌ shared. “Together with Felix, we developed a diverse range of products,​ which ⁣required a significant ‌amount of preparation. I’m very happy with the excellence medal and fourth place, but‌ the chance to exchange ideas with talented individuals from across Europe was‌ also incredibly valuable.”

Team Germany‘s Strong ⁤Performance: Team Germany demonstrated exceptional ​skill at Euroskills 2025, bringing home a total of seven gold, six silver, three bronze, and ⁤six excellence medals.

Looking Ahead ⁢to Worldskills 2026: The next challenge for skilled professionals is the Worldskills competition, scheduled ​to take⁢ place in China in September 2026. The German participants will be selected at the ​German Youth Championship⁢ in Olpe this November, providing a platform for the⁣ next generation of skilled⁤ tradespeople to showcase their ⁢talents.
