Ecoalf Launches Tokyo Flagship as Global Expansion Continues

TOKYO,‌ JAPAN – Ecoalf, the Spanish fashion⁤ brand pioneering recycled ⁤materials, has opened a⁣ new flagship store ​in Tokyo’s Newoman Takanawa shopping ‌centre, signaling continued international growth. The ⁢opening underscores the company’s commitment too expanding its presence in key global cities⁢ and promoting its sustainability-focused message.

Ecoalf has⁤ been​ rapidly expanding its retail footprint,recently inaugurating stores in Biarritz and⁢ Bilbao (spain),Bolzano (Italy),and Saint-Sébastien (Spain). The Tokyo location joins existing Ecoalf retail spaces in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, and four other‍ locations across Japan.‍ The brand currently operates through⁣ a multi-channel⁢ model encompassing retail, wholesale, and online​ sales, partnering with over 1,300 multi-brand​ retailers⁣ worldwide.

The new ​Tokyo⁢ store embodies Ecoalf’s core design philosophy of transforming waste into resources.Its minimalist interior utilizes renewable materials including recovered wood,steel,and‌ stones⁣ shaped by rivers​ and seas. Displays feature models constructed from recycled ⁤sneakers and plastic bottles recovered through Ecoalf’s recycling projects, functioning as both ​artistic installations and product showcases.

Innovative furniture within the‌ store is a result of collaboration with UACJ, a leading aluminum manufacturer, utilizing ultra-light recycled ‌aluminum typically⁤ destined for the automotive industry. This collaboration, according to Ecoalf, reduces ⁤carbon dioxide emissions and ‌highlights the ⁢brand’s dedication to circular solutions extending beyond the fashion ⁣sector.

“This ⁤flagship is ⁣not a simple​ shop, but a platform that connects people to our mission,” stated Javier Goyeneche, founder and president of Ecoalf. “Japan is a market where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand, ‍and‌ this new​ space allows us to​ encourage more people⁣ to join our movement.”

Japan is now a key market for Ecoalf,‌ representing one of its five points of sale globally.The company’s current sales breakdown is 40%⁤ retail, 40% wholesale, and 20% online. Ecoalf ⁤reported a 20% turnover increase and a positive EBITDA of 3.4 million euros in the 2024/2025 ⁤financial year,demonstrating‍ the viability of its enduring business model.
