Eden, a nintendo Switch Emulator, Now Available on the Google Play Store
September 12, 2025 (4:04 PM ET): The Nintendo Switch emulator Eden is now listed on the Google Play Store, marking a significant step for the project and a first for Switch emulation on the marketplace. Users with devices running Android 11 or later can now download the emulator directly from the Play Store.
Eden is a fork of the Yuzu emulator, which gained prominence as a prosperous Switch emulation platform before being taken down following legal action from Nintendo. Yuzu’s open-source code allowed for the creation of forks like Eden, formed by developers previously working on another project, Citron.
The Play Store listing includes screenshots, software details, and data safety facts. While the listing is legitimate and fully owned and published by the Eden team, it currently features an older version of the app. the latest v0.0.3 update, released last Friday, is awaiting approval from Google.
version 0.0.3 included bug fixes, performance improvements, EmuReady integration, and support for the recently released Hollow Knight: Silksong. Despite the increased visibility the Play Store provides, the Eden team acknowledges the potential for increased scrutiny from Nintendo.
