Prince Harry and King Charles Meet for Tea in First Reunion in Over a year
London – Prince Harry and King Charles reunited Wednesday for a private tea meeting at Clarence House, marking their first time together in more than a year, Buckingham Palace confirmed. the meeting occurred after Harry arrived in the UK earlier this week to commemorate the third anniversary of queen Elizabeth II’s death and to support several of his charitable organizations.
The reunion comes amid a period of strained relations between the Duke of Sussex and the royal family, stemming from Harry and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, stepping back as senior royals in 2020 and their subsequent public discussions of family matters.
Harry’s visit included a prior engagement at the Center for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London before arriving at his father’s London residence. The pair last met briefly in February 2024,when harry traveled to London following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, spending approximately 45 minutes with the King before Charles continued his recovery at Sandringham.
Sources indicate that Prince harry has also maintained limited contact with his brother, Prince William, the heir to the throne.
