Bahrain Minister Launches Department of Prophecy, advances Water & Energy Tech
Manama, Bahrain – On September 9, 2025, Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Subsequent Minister in Bahrain, formally inaugurated the Department of Prophecy alongside a major exhibition showcasing cutting-edge water and energy technologies. the launch underscores the Bahraini government’s dedication to integrated resource management and alignment with global lasting advancement goals.
The new Department of Prophecy aims to foster innovation in water, energy, and weather-related fields, with a particular focus on supporting young entrepreneurs and research initiatives. This initiative comes as Bahrain, like many nations in the arid Gulf region, faces increasing pressures on its water and energy supplies due to climate change and population growth. The exhibition featured advancements from both local and international companies, offering solutions to enhance resource efficiency and sustainability.
Sheikh Khalid toured the exhibition, reviewing recent inventions designed to improve resource utilization and support long-term sustainability objectives. A dedicated section highlighted startups and research from emerging entrepreneurs, signaling a commitment to cultivating Bahrain’s next generation of innovators in these critical sectors. Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin daily also attended the inauguration.
