RGP’s IT Modernization: A Four-Year Journey to Cloud Agility

RGP Modernizes with Agile ⁢Tech Stack, Boosting Efficiency and ⁢Speed

Resource Global Professional (RGP) has ⁢recently completed a significant modernization of its technology infrastructure, positioning ⁢the company to meet current business demands while preparing for ⁢future innovation, notably in the realm of artificial intelligence. The initiative, driven by agile teams and a commitment ⁣to continuous betterment, has resulted in a globally scalable platform ⁢integrated ⁤with tools like Salesforce and other ‍enterprise applications.

The project wasn’t without hurdles.A key component -‌ expanded ⁤functionality for‌ RGP’s ⁢consultant time-tracking submission – faced‌ a setback⁢ when the vendor ⁣responsible was acquired mid-development. Originally, the work was based on an anticipated acquisition of Workday, requiring a complete code overhaul after a different company ‌purchased the‌ software firm.

Despite this challenge, the modernization has yielded ⁤substantial ⁢benefits. Teams are now ⁤operating with increased speed and efficiency across multiple functions. A prime ⁤exmaple ‍is the recruitment process: client requests for candidates now flow seamlessly from Salesforce into RGP’s Aperture system. Aperture then automatically matches⁢ and ranks candidates based on skills and role requirements, eliminating the time-consuming⁢ manual review of resumes.

This improved process was demonstrably effective for a recent client in the oil and gas industry, wich‌ needed⁢ to fill⁢ 90 finance roles. RGP’s team delivered ranked candidate matches within hours⁢ – a dramatic improvement‌ over the days or weeks previously‌ required. While not every candidate ‌was ultimately‌ placed, RGP secured a significant portion of the business due to its rapid ⁢identification of qualified⁢ individuals.

The modernization⁢ also streamlined ⁣contract management. Previously,client-specific contract templates ofen languished in email inboxes awaiting legal review, with⁣ delays exacerbated by ‍attorney availability. The new, ⁤role-based system automatically routes contracts to the first available ‌and⁢ qualified attorney, significantly reducing turnaround ⁢time⁣ and improving version control.

Looking ahead,⁤ RGP⁤ plans to ‌expand ⁣its modernized financial and applicant tracking systems globally. The firm envisions a “borderless talent” framework that will support a highly flexible, ⁢virtual work model. According to company leadership, the success of the‍ initiative is a testament to the dedication and accountability of the IT team, ⁣who successfully ⁣built an advanced digital framework to support RGP’s evolving needs.
