Bristol Motor ‌Speedway ⁤Prepares for high-Stakes NASCAR Playoffs​ with bass Pro Shops ‍Night Race Weekend

BRISTOL, TN (September ​8, 2024) – Bristol Motor Speedway is set ‌to host a thrilling weekend of NASCAR racing, kicking off​ with the ⁣Bass Pro Shops Night Race weekend, ‍September⁢ 12-14. the‍ event features three nights of intense​ competition, including crucial races for the ‍NASCAR Cup Series,‌ Xfinity Series, ⁢and craftsman Truck ‍Series ⁢Playoffs. Tickets are still available, but ​dwindling, with a final purchase window at Food City ​stores⁣ closing this Friday, september 5th.

The weekend’s centerpiece, the⁤ Round of 16 playoffs for the ⁣Cup Series, takes place Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. ‍ET on USA ‌Network and PRN Radio.⁣ Pre-race ​favorites include Chase Elliott, ‍Kyle Larson,⁢ Denny Hamlin,‍ Christopher‍ Bell, Ryan Blaney, Bubba ⁤Wallace, ‍William Byron, and recent darlington winner‌ Chase Briscoe.

Friday night, September 11th, will see the opening of ⁤the Round of 12 playoffs in the NASCAR⁤ Xfinity ​Series with the Food City 300 (7:30 p.m. ET ‍on The ⁣CW ⁤and⁣ PRN Radio). Drivers⁢ vying for ​a win include ⁤Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill, Sheldon Creed, Brandon Jones, Sammy Smith, Jesse Love, and Connor Zilisch.

The action begins Thursday⁣ night with a doubleheader. The UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics (8 p.m. ET on‌ FS1 and⁤ PRN Radio) will feature the second⁢ race ⁤of the Round‍ of 10 Playoffs‍ in⁣ the NASCAR‍ CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, with drivers like Corey ‌Heim, Ty Majeski, Rajah Caruth, Chandler Smith,‍ and defending winner Layne Riggs expected to contend. The evening will open with ‌the Bush’s⁣ Beans 200 ARCA Menards Series (5:30 p.m. ⁢ET on FS1),⁢ showcasing rising stars such as​ Lawless Alan, Lavar​ scott, Brendan “Butterbean” ⁣queen, Brent⁣ Crews, Garrett Mitchell (aka ⁣Cleetus McFarland), Logan‍ Misuraca, Bobby ​dale Earnhardt, and ​Isabella Robusto.

Known as “The Last‌ Great Colosseum,” the 0.533-mile concrete oval with 28-degree banking has a rich history of hosting ⁢iconic events. Beyond NASCAR, Bristol Motor speedway has hosted a⁤ record-breaking football game (156,990 fans for the 2016 Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol between the University of⁣ Tennessee and Virginia Tech), a Major League Baseball game (91,032 for the 2019‌ Atlanta ​Braves vs. Cincinnati Reds),the 2020 NASCAR All-Star ⁢Race,and NASCAR Cup Series racing on ⁣dirt from 2021-2023. The venue also boasts Colossus⁤ TV, the world’s largest outdoor center-hung four-sided screen video board.

Adjacent to the speedway, Bristol Dragway hosts the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals and transforms into the⁤ Thunder Valley Amphitheatre for concerts.
