Aikido Takes Center Stage as Customary Martial Art Evolves in Seoul Competition

Kang Tae-sun,chairman of the Seoul Sports and Sports Council,emphasized the competition’s role in this development,stating,”the Association’s long-term competition has played an crucial role in expanding and revitalizing the base of Aikido as well as discovering excellent players.” This year’s event, coinciding with Aikido’s inclusion in national competitions, signaled a “modern leap” for the practice, solidifying its legitimacy within the Korean martial arts landscape.
