Rudy Giuliani Involved in car Crash, Recovering in Hospital
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was involved in a car crash Wednesday and is currently hospitalized, his son, Andrew Giuliani, confirmed. Details surrounding the incident remain under investigation by state police, and no charges have been filed as of Thursday morning.
The crash comes as Giuliani, 79, faces ongoing legal and financial challenges stemming from his work challenging the 2020 presidential election results. Once lauded as ”America’s Mayor” for his leadership following the September 11,2001,terrorist attacks - earning him TIME magazine’s Person of the Year honor that year – Giuliani’s reputation has been substantially tarnished in recent years. He served as personal attorney to former President Donald Trump and was later disbarred in new york and Washington, D.C., and faced a substantial defamation judgment.

giuliani served as Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001. During his time in office, he was credited with significant reductions in crime and improvements to the city’s quality of life.
