Nintendo Switch: Fitness Boxing 2 to Be Removed From eShop
Nintendo is removing Fitness Boxing 2 from teh Nintendo Switch eShop on November 27th at 11:59 p.m. The digital workout game, featuring rhythm-based boxing with Joy-Cons, was released on December 4, 2020, and is nearing its five-year anniversary.
Neither Nintendo nor developer Imagineer have publicly stated a reason for the removal. Speculation suggests expiring music licenses-the game includes songs by artists like Ariana Grande, Bon Jovi, and One Direction-might potentially be a factor. The original Fitness Boxing was also removed from the eShop after approximately five years, likely for the same reason.
A third installment in the series was released last December.Players interested in purchasing Fitness Boxing 2 have a limited time remaining, though no sale has been announced. A free demo is available to try the game.
The announcement was made on twitter: https://twitter.com/nintendode
This follows the recent removal of other titles from the Nintendo Switch eShop, and has prompted calls for a new ring Fit Adventure.
