SEATTLE – Sounders FC is offering fans a unique chance to demonstrate their allegiance ahead of Sunday’s Leagues Cup 2025 Final: a jersey exchange. Supporters with inter Miami CF Lionel Messi kits can trade them for a Paul Rothrock jersey at the Lumen Field Pro Shop when gates open at 3:30 p.m. PT, while supplies last.

The highly anticipated match against Inter miami, featuring international superstar Lionel Messi’s first trip to Seattle as joining MLS, has already surpassed the Leagues Cup single-match attendance record, with over 65,000 tickets sold. The club opened additional inventory in the upper bowl of Lumen Field due to strong demand, as Seattle aims to become the first team in MLS history to win every major North American title.
Sounders FC advanced to the final with a 2-0 victory over the LA Galaxy on Wednesday, with goals from Pedro de la Vega and Osaze De Rosario, and a shutout from Andrew Thomas. The result also secured Seattle a spot in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup. The Leagues Cup 2025 Final will be played on Sunday,August 31 at 5:00 p.m. PT on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at lumen Field and broadcast on Apple TV, Univision, TUDN, 950 KJR AM, and El Rey 1360 AM.
This will be the 10th time Lumen Field has hosted over 60,000 fans for a competitive match, including the 2019 MLS Cup (69,274) and the 2022 Concacaf Champions Cup (68,741).
