Goudourville Handball Club Gears Up for Full 2025-2026 Season with Tripled training Capacity
Goudourville, France – The Handball club Goudourvillois (HCG) is preparing for a critically important expansion, launching its first complete season in 2025-2026 with a roster bolstered by a new senior men’s team. This growth follows a successful initial period for the club, established in early 2025, and signals a rising interest in handball within the Goudourville community.
Founded with both a leisure group and a women’s team, the HCG quickly demonstrated its potential, with the women’s team achieving a strong performance in its first half-season and advancing to cup competitions. Now, with approximately sixty current members and anticipating further recruitment during upcoming training sessions at the COSEC facility, the club is poised for its most enterprising phase yet. The addition of the men’s team brings the total number of training groups to three, marking a substantial increase in the club’s capacity and reach.
A recent general meeting affirmed the club’s healthy financial standing and positive outlook,setting the stage for a season focused on fostering a welcoming,family-oriented environment. Senior league play is scheduled to begin on September 13th, though the specific opponents remain to be determined. The HCG is also integrating young players into its adult teams, collaborating with clubs in Castelsarrasin and Moissac to provide progress opportunities.
Navigating the increased demand for training space at the COSEC facility presents a logistical challenge, but the club has established a schedule to accommodate all teams. Senior women will train Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Senior men and the leisure group will share Mondays from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and thursdays from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Younger players in the U11 category will train Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Moissac and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Castelsarrasin.
