Doctor Daniela Hernández Released After Kidnapping in Valle del Cauca

Authorities Investigate Multiple Disappearances in ‌Valle del⁤ Cauca Department

Cali,Colombia – Authorities in ‍the Valle del‌ Cauca department are intensifying investigations ⁢into a series of disappearances,including​ the case of Esperanza⁢ Muñoz,who has been missing ​as July 30th. The investigations were discussed at a recent security summit, highlighting growing concerns over potential kidnappings and missing persons ‍in ‌the region.

Muñoz was last seen ⁤on July 30th after agreeing to show a farm to two men interested ‌in renting the​ property. She has not been heard from as, ⁤and authorities are working to identify the men and the vehicle they were traveling in. ‍ The case is being jointly investigated by the Police Sijin (investigative unit) and the Prosecutor’s Office.

“It is analyzed what situations have happened.⁣ There, an outstanding team has already been formed between investigators ‍of ​the Police Sijin and the Prosecutor’s⁣ Office⁤ section⁤ that will take the case and advance the relevant investigations to establish what happened with the lady as he approached the vehicle seen in the videos,” stated Guillermo Londoño, Secretary of Coexistence and Citizen Security of the Valle del Cauca department.

Along with Muñoz’s disappearance, the Security Council is also investigating⁢ the cases of two young ‌people reported missing on July 30th in Restrepo, a municipality within the Valle del Cauca department. Details regarding the ​identities of these individuals have not yet ⁢been released.

Officials have pledged a comprehensive response, emphasizing collaboration between various agencies. “The allegations ⁣of the families will be received and​ elements will be able to really establish what happened and there the institutional efforts of the Police, the‍ Army, the Prosecutor’s Office and of course also of the Government of‌ the Valley will be placed in the ⁢search of all these people,” ‍Londoño ⁢added.

General sandra Liliana Rodríguez, commander of the Valle Police, urged the public to ⁤come forward with‌ any ⁤information that could assist in the investigations. “We have been committed to clarify, verify and ​promote the route of attention by the authorities of the cases of disappearance and kidnapping, so we must remember lines 123 and 165 to denounce any fact or information that allows ⁤them to free them.”
