Viral Craft: Woman Creates Miniature Art ‍Dolls from Her Cat‘s Shed Fur

A creative pet owner⁣ is captivating social media with her​ unique​ art form: crafting⁣ miniature dolls ⁤resembling teh ⁢popular Labubu figures entirely from her cat’s shed fur. The project, initially shared on ⁤instagram on July 13, has quickly gained widespread ​attention, ⁣amassing ‍over 1.4 million views and 70,348 likes as of Monday.

The artist, identified as Curtis and ⁤known online as @thekatcurtis, began ​by collecting the black⁣ fur shed by her cat, Uno ​(@one_eared_uno), during regular ‌brushing. She then spent‍ approximately four hours-spread across several episodes of‍ the Netflix series⁤ “Ginny and Georgia”-carefully molding ⁤and shaping ‍the fur into a⁤ Labubu-sized doll. The resulting‌ creation features the character’s signature ears, and a ‍hand-drawn devilish smile, along‌ with miniature hands ⁢and ⁣feet.

“My cat ⁣thought ⁤it was fascinating that the Labubu smelled like ‌him and​ sniffed⁤ the doll a⁣ lot,”⁣ Curtis shared.

Curtis ​has since expanded⁢ her ⁤furry‍ creations, producing a series of mini ‌statues. Each piece takes around 20 minutes to complete and is often gifted to followers of Uno’s Instagram account. The Labubu figure, ‌originally designed by Japanese artist KAWS (Brian Donnelly), has become a highly sought-after ​collectible, known for its distinctive ⁢companion character.
