“High on Life 2″ to Include Playable Retro Games, Including “Bible Adventures“
COLOGNE, GERMANY – August 22, 2025 – Squanch Games is substantially expanding the hidden content within its upcoming sequel, High on Life 2, going beyond movies to include fully-emulated, playable video games. The announcement came during a conversation with Squanch Games chief creative officer/art director mikey Spano and chief operating officer/executive producer Matty Studivan at gamescom 2025, as reported by IGN.
The original High on Life gained notoriety for concealing full-length movies within the game, and High on Life 2 aims to build on that legacy. Spano revealed the sequel will feature “some surprising B+ tier movies” alongside a collection of retro titles.
The first confirmed game is Bible Adventures, which will be included as an officially licensed, fully playable version. “Yes, you can play the whole thing,” Spano confirmed. “And it’s not the only emulated game that’s in there.”
A gameplay exhibition at gamescom 2025 showcased how players will encounter Bible Adventures. Players will shrink Senator Muppy Doo (voiced by Richard Kind) who then invades the player’s in-game menu, where the game can be found.
Squanch Games has remained tight-lipped about the full list of included games, but promises “more than five” playable titles will be hidden within High on Life 2.
The sequel is slated for release on February 13, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S, and will also be available on Game Pass.
