breaking: OPPO is preparing to launch a new generation Pad alongside its next flagship smartphone and a new smartwatch in early 2026, according to recent reports. The new tablet is expected to run ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, and potentially offer enhanced interoperability with iPhones.
The upcoming OPPO Pad is speculated to be a larger device, distinct from the rumored OnePlus Pad 3 Mini, which is anticipated to be a “compact tablet” featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2. The potential for cross-platform functionality, mirroring Apple’s ecosystem features, is a key aspect of the new ColorOS 16 implementation. This could include features allowing seamless pairing and file sharing with iPhones.
ColorOS 16,built on Android 16,aims to provide a multi-platform interface comparable to Apple’s iPadOS. The new tablet’s capabilities may extend to advanced features like bypassing charging limitations and enabling file transfers, similar to those recently introduced on the OnePlus 13R.
The launch is planned to coincide with the release of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, which is rumored to include a dual 200MP Hasselblad camera system and a new multispectral sensor for improved color accuracy, and the OPPO Watch X3.
Currently, the oneplus Pad 3 is available on amazon for $649.99. The device features a 144Hz 4K LCD display and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 processor, along with quad-speaker setup and an aluminum alloy build.
