Vergara enrolled in dental school,attending the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá,but ultimately discontinued her studies after two years.”I went to dental school but I didn’t finish.I went for two years,” she revealed during an appearance on Harry Connick Jr.’s talk show in 2016, broadcast on CBS.
A pivotal moment arrived in the early 1990s when Vergara was scouted by a photographer while vacationing in Cartagena, Colombia.
