Daughter of Music Icon Honors Adventurous Father with Luxury Caviar Launch
A Unique Tribute to Arne Næss Jr.
More than two decades after his passing, the legacy of Norwegian businessman and adventurer Arne Næss Jr. is being celebrated in an unexpected, opulent way by his sons.
An Exclusive Family Heritage
Ross Arne and Evan Olav, sons of the late Arne Næss Jr., have launched “Arne’s Reserve – a family heritage,” a premium caviar product. This unique venture aims to immortalize their father’s adventurous spirit and discerning taste.
The product is positioned as a “delight of discerning palates,” reflecting the high standards associated with the Næss family name. The price point underscores its exclusivity, with a 125-gram box retailing for $580. This makes half a kilogram cost approximately $2,320.
A Life Lived Boldly
Arne Næss Jr., who tragically died in a 2004 climbing accident near Cape Town, South Africa, at the age of 66, lived a life marked by daring exploits. His philosophy, “Life is far too short for mediocrity,” is emblazoned on the caviar’s packaging, serving as a constant reminder of his vivacious approach to life.

Arne Næss Jr. was famously married to the iconic singer Diana Ross from 1985 until their divorce in 2000. Together, they had two sons, Ross Arne and Evan Olav.
Diana Ross expressed immense pride in her sons’ tribute, stating on Facebook, Congratulations to my sons Ross and Evan on the launch of “Arnes Reserve”. I’m so proud!
Family Connections and Success
Evan Olav, an artist and actor known for his role in “The Hunger Games,” is married to artist Ashlee Simpson Næss. Meanwhile, Ross Arne is a successful nightclub and barber salon owner in Hollywood, married to Kimberly Ryan Næss.
The average price of caviar globally has seen fluctuations, with some premium varieties exceeding $500 per ounce, reflecting the luxury market’s demand for rare delicacies (Statista, 2023).
