Nationwide Protests Erupt Against Trump Governance: “Rage Against The Regime” Mobilizes Americans
A wave of nationwide protests, dubbed “Rage Against The Regime,” is set to sweep across the United States today, organized by the group 50501.This movement, representing “50 Protests, 50 States, One movement,” aims to galvanize citizens against what they describe as an undemocratic regime.Organizers are urging Americans to join the demonstrations to ensure their voices are heard and to express their anger.
The initiative has planned at least one protest in every state, with approximately 260 demonstrations scheduled nationwide. California alone is set to host multiple protest actions. In Los Angeles,a presentation is slated to take place in front of City Hall in Gloria Molina park, following recent anti-immigration rallies and protests against the Federal Agency for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Group 50501 has stated that these protests are being conducted without seeking official permission, emphasizing their refusal to collaborate with the authorities they are protesting against. Flyers circulating for the event feature slogans critical of both President Donald Trump and the ICE.
In a video message, organizers denounced the current climate, stating, “We are a nation under coercion. People are being taken from their homes, supermarkets, safe places.” They specifically highlighted the cases of individuals without documentation, those awaiting decisions on citizenship, or seeking asylum. The group declared, “This is not the land of the free. It is indeed the land of the rich and privileged.”
This marks the fifth consecutive month of widespread demonstrations against the Republican President and his administration. Previous national actions include the “Hands Off” protest in April, which spurred over a thousand demonstrations against various Trump administration policies, and the “Day Without King” action on June 14, coinciding with president Trump’s birthday.
Key targets for protesters include immigration policies and the administration’s frequent challenges to court orders. However, criticism also extends to other aspects of the administration’s conduct, such as the actions of Elon musk within government efficiency departments and the controversy surrounding businessman Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison while awaiting trial for sex trafficking of minors and had a past association with President Trump.
