Gaza Announces Humanitarian Corridor Amidst Ongoing Conflict
In a important growth for humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, the military has established a daily 10-hour humanitarian pause, effective from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.This measure, implemented in coordination with the United Nations and international aid organizations, aims to facilitate the delivery of essential supplies to the region’s approximately 900,000 residents. The pause will be observed in areas where Israeli forces are not actively engaged in operations, including al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah, and specific sections of Gaza City.

To further streamline the distribution of aid, designated secure routes will be operational from 6 a.m.to 11 p.m. for convoys from the UN and NGOs carrying food and medical supplies. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have stated their commitment to “continue supporting humanitarian efforts on the ground, alongside ongoing operations against terror groups in Gaza.”
A public advisory has been issued to Gaza residents, cautioning them: “For your safety – do not return to the areas marked in red on the map,” which indicate active combat zones. This initiative follows internal discussions, with some Israeli officials, such as National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir,having expressed opposition to the humanitarian pause.
