Petr Nárožný: A Legendary Czech Actor’s Life and Recent Injury

Petr Nárožný, a beloved Czech actor and comedian, has had a long and impactful career. He began his acting journey in the early 1970s, quickly establishing himself with roles in cult films like “Jáchym, throw him in the machine!” and later starring in “Just let him be afraid of” with a comedy trio. His distinctive voice is also remembered by many from the children’s series “Mach and Šebestová” and his role in the classic “With devils are not jokes.”

Nárožný’s life, however, has not been without its challenges. He experienced the horrors of World War II as a child, having lived in Dresden during the devastating Allied bombing. Later in life, he faced a personal struggle with his son’s homosexuality. Initially finding it tough too accept, his views evolved over time, leading to reconciliation and a loving relationship with his son and his son’s partner.

More recently, Nárožný has been dealing with health issues.in November of the previous year, he suffered a serious femur fracture after a fall. This injury,which is often critical for seniors,caused widespread concern throughout the Czech Republic. While the rehabilitation is ongoing and demanding,Nárožný has expressed his desire to return to the theater by September of this year,demonstrating his enduring passion for his craft. Despite the effects of aging, he continues to be a kind and engaging figure, recently gracing the Comic Con Prague event with his presence.
