The operation,which involved intimidation and assault,forced women into prostitution. victims were subjected to violence if they resisted or failed to meet prostitution quotas. The perpetrators allegedly amassed over 100 million won from the victims and extorted hundreds of millions of won from their families.
A police official described the case as unprecedented in their 36-year career.

In the initial trial, B received a 10-year sentence.B’s husband was sentenced to five years, while C’s husband and another associate of B received seven years.
