Preliminary investigations suggest the man, from Gwynedd, northern Wales, fell from his balcony around 4:15 a.m. The incident occurred at the Cavalieri Art Hotel, according to Times of Malta. The road outside the hotel was briefly closed as authorities investigated.

Sian Gwenllian, Welsh MP representing Arfon, called the death “truly devastating.” She added, “The pain his family must be experiencing is unimaginable. My thoughts, and those of the people of Gwynedd, are with them in their grief.”
