Sandra do Valle Reis, better known as Sol, had her death confirmed on Saturday (12). The singer became famous in the 1980s for performing on TV shows such as Chacrinha and Silvio Santos and being a great rival of Gretchen Miranda.
A shared note on social networks confirmed the death. “With immense sadness, we inform the death of our dear singer Sol,” said the text. “Your departure leaves a huge emptiness in our hearts, but also unforgettable memories of love, joy and generosity,” he said. The cause of death so far has not been revealed.

Sol began the artistic career at 7 years. He studied piano, classic ballet, lyrical singing and accordion. He also graduated in law and was a model. It became nationally known as it appeared on popular TV shows alongside muses such as Sharon, Rita Cadillac and Gretchen, with whom it was constantly compared by sensual style.
In the 1990s, he moved to Japan, where he lived for almost ten years and was nicknamed “Emperor muse” for the fame among the local public. Sol sang in French, Spanish, Japanese, English and German.
