The police officer has announced to the jury that she was left “absolutely scared” after she was beaten in a fight with two men at Manchester Airport last year. PC Lydia Ward from the Great Manchester was left with a broken nose in the incident, which took place on July 23 at Terminal 2, as reported by the BBC. She was believed to be attacked by Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20 years, and his brother Muhammad Amaad, 26 years old. Both men are from Rochdale, in the large part of Manchester, and have denied allegations.

I had never experienced this level of violence in my life,” she added. “I didn’t know who would come up with me next time. I was afraid to go again after this man and hit me again.”Ward said the people around me did not come to the rescue and “starred in their mobile phones”, “no one came to the aid. I felt everyone in this room was against us. Honestly, I was scared, ”she said. Bodycam shots submitted to the court showed that Ward had been comforted by one of her colleagues. Rosemary Fernandes, a lawyer representing Amaaz, suggested that her client is “surprised” and “shocked”. She also stressed that Amaaz had acted in “legitimate self -defense”. “It is important to identify yourself as cops, right?” She asked. Ward said they didn’t have time for any “rational discussion” because the situation became “violent quickly”. “He could see that I was a policeman and he could see that I was a woman,” she added.Amaaz was accused of a personal computer on Marsdena and PC Ward attacks, resulting in an actual bodily injury, and accused of attacking PC Cook Dinner and Abdulkareem Ismaeil from Starbucks.
