6. Stage (Bellaria – Igea Marina – Terre Roveresche145 km):

Since the beginning of the stage, it was busy in the peloton, it was fast and the leak of the day, which the profile of the stage recorded, was fought. However, numerous arrivals have always destroyed the package.
After about 25 kilometers, women’s Giro came to San Marina, where the competitors were waiting for the climb of the second category with the same name. One of the smallest states in the world has the only cyclist in the peloton – Valentina Venerucci (Arromitalia 3t Vaiano).

About 18 kilometers before the finish, five cyclists were able to connect in front, who created a lead of less than a minute ahead of the band.
The package was still actively played and on one of the unofficial climb Elisa Long borghiniová (UAE Team ADQ). The second woman of the overall ranking, tried to get under the pressure of a pink jersey holder Marl Reusser (Movistar Team) and attacked. But the Swiss stood the onslaught of the opponent.
The increased pace of favorites was not enough cold and about 9 km before the finish fell out of a large group. The truncated peloton slowed down in the end and gave the leak space, from which the stage winner eventually came.
The fresh Slovak champion was able to reach the group and at 3:54:25 finally finished in a great 16th place. The second Slovakian in the starting field Nora Jenčušová (Bepink – Imatra – Bongioanni) arrived at the finish in 116th place.
In the overall evaluation, the cold -coil has shifted five seats ahead and after the 6th stage it is at the 16th place with a loss of 6 minutes and 29 seconds to Reusser. In the competition under 23 years (white jersey) it moved one place and ranks 3.
