The initial target was to conclude the deal by the end of June, aligning with the start of pre-season. However, that deadline was missed, and a new target has been set.

Insider Insights on Mbeumo Transfer

**United In Focus** consulted transfer insider **Graeme Bailey**, who indicated that the deal is ‘close’. The new objective is to have **Mbeumo** integrated into the squad before the pre-season tour to America later in July. **Manchester United** will face **West Ham** on July 26 in their first match there.

**Bailey** explained: “It is believed that talks are continuing between **United** and **Brentford** and that a deal is actually close.”

Reportedly, the agreement is expected to be around £65 million. The finer points of the agreement such as payment structures, installment schedules, and possible add-ons are still being discussed. Notably, global transfer values have seen a significant rise, with the total reaching $9.63 billion in 2023, a 48.1% increase compared to 2022 (FIFA 2023).

**Bailey** added, “Old Trafford sources are of the belief that **Mbeumo** will be a **United** player sooner rather than later, indeed plans are in place for him to be a **United** player for their American pre-season trip.”

Mbeumo’s Dedication to Manchester United

**Bryan Mbeumo** has yet to rejoin **Brentford** for pre-season training, signaling his strong desire to move to **Manchester United**. Despite delays, his commitment remains unwavering.

**Bailey** stated: “We are told that **Mbeumo** has already made it clear to **Brentford** that he had little intention of returning to the club for pre-season making it clear to them that his focus was on joining **United**.”

He also reportedly turned down offers from other clubs, including **Newcastle** and **Tottenham**, to pursue his move to **Manchester United**. His focus is firmly set on becoming a Red Devil.

“Let’s not forget he shunned other clubs including **Newcastle** and **Tottenham** to join **United** – he is fully focused on becoming a Red Devil,” **Bailey** confirmed.

The potential sale of **Yoane Wissa** will reportedly not affect **Mbeumo’s** transfer situation. **Ruben Amorim** is also keen to have **Mbeumo** available for the US tour, emphasizing the importance of finalizing the deal.

Securing both **Mbeumo** and **Cunha** would significantly strengthen **United’s** attacking capabilities for the upcoming season. The hope is that further additions will follow, enhancing the squad’s overall quality.
