Red Devils Eye **Ndidi** Amidst Transfer Talks

Manchester United considers Leicester City midfielder.

Amidst ongoing negotiations for **Bryan Mbeumo**, Manchester United is reportedly eyeing **Wilfred Ndidi** from Leicester City. The potential move comes as a surprise, given INEOS’s preference for younger players.

United’s Interest in **Ndidi**

Reports suggest Manchester United has initiated discussions for **Ndidi**, potentially adding him to their squad. However, Everton is also keen on the Nigerian international, alongside interest from Saudi Arabian clubs like Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr, and NEOM SC, all prepared to offer lucrative deals.

At 29, **Ndidi** faces a pivotal decision about his European career. A move to the Middle East could end his chances of playing in England’s top flight again. The current average age of players in the Saudi Pro League is 27.2 years old, indicating a mix of experienced and younger talent (Transfermarkt).

The Financials

**Ndidi**’s acquisition could be straightforward due to a £9 million release clause in his contract. However, both Manchester United and Everton are looking to negotiate a fee closer to £5 million, as his wages pose a potential obstacle. He has made 220 Premier League appearances over eight years.

As it stands, **Ndidi** is set to spend another season in the Championship, but that might change if a suitable offer comes along.
