Details of the Arrest
Upon arrival, officers discovered both Daniel Mendez, 28, and margarita Mendez, 25, had sustained injuries consistent with a physical confrontation. Following consultation with the Webb County District Attorney’s Office, both individuals were arrested and face criminal charges.Daniel Mendez,a four-year veteran of the Laredo Police Department,was charged with Assault on a Pregnant Person,a felony offense. Margarita Mendez was charged with Assault Family Violence and criminal mischief.
